We measure the water level to ensure that there is neither too much nor too little water in the lake.
There are several different sensors in the lake system. In Ältasjön itself, there is a water level gauge. At the dam gate at Nacka Södra Kyrkogård, there is both a water level gauge and a flow meter that measures how much water flows out of the lake. At the carpentry, there is a gauge that checks that the water level there does not get so high that it reaches the house.
We also show a rain forecast from SMHI, which gives an indication of how much water will end up in the lake, sooner or later.
